Bar Code Scanners

The function of the bar code scanner is to "read" the image presented by the bar code. In its most basic form, the scanner sees and measures the absence or presence of light in the code's bars and spaces, and converts that information into an electrical signal that can be translated into recognizable or computer-compatible data. There are few variance in Barcode Readers as given below.

Hand Held Device with inbuilt Barcode Reader optional GPRS/ GPS/ Camera/ WiFi / Bluetooth / USB etc.
Fix Mount Barcode Readers for WIP / Supply Chain / Manufacturing Units etc. with LAN / WiFi / RS232 / RS485 etc.
Barcode Reader for POS operation USB Plug and Play readers.

Typically Barcode readers are classified into two category

Laser Scanner (Supports 1D Barcode Only)
Imager Scanner (Supports 2D & 1D Barcode Both)

Barcode Label& Ribbons

A bar code (often seen as a single word, barcode) is the small image of lines (bars) and spaces that is affixed to any items, identification cards, and postal mail to identify a particular product number, person, or location. The code uses a sequence of vertical bars and spaces to represent numbers and other symbols in case of 1D Barcode. In case of 2D Barcode line gets replaced by 1D Barcode stacked one above other barcode, containing different data. There are different types of Barcode Labels and Ribbon combination available for different type of requirements as per the requirement of the solution.

Typically these components are classified under following category

Paper Label
Direct Thermal Paper Labels
Thermal Transfer Paper Labels
Non Tear able Labels
